"Great stay.  House was spacious.  Kids loved beach combing on the private beach.  Acadia is a bit of a drive (little over an hour), but it's a pretty drive and this house was great value vs. MDI accommodation."

"Eboleth had everything we could have wanted; extremely well-equipped kitchen, spacious bedrooms, roomy yet cozy living room, and great screened-in porch with ample seating.  The home is filled with welcoming touches, from the games, puzzles, and books to the throw blankets and pet bowls. Although located close to a busy road, with the windows closed, road noise was negligible even in the bedroom closest to the road.  Beach access was within easy walking distance, and wildlife sightings were plentiful."

"This was our second time staying at the Eboleth house and it was so relaxing and enjoyable.  They think of every need you could have and then add the extra touches to make you feel special. Our grandchildren love it!!  We all love it. Last year we went to Acadia and visited other nearby sites and beaches, but this year we came to the realization that the best beach and adventure is just through the nicely mowed path at the beach.  It’s so private and the kids love swimming in the water and searching for sea glass and shells.  I enjoyed reading my book by the water and the dogs had a blast on the beach.  It was wonderful.  We look forward to next year."

"We found Eboleth House a perfect base for exploring both Deer Isle and mainland sights (and sounds--lovely chamber concert in Blue Hill).  The immediate setting is quiet and peaceful.  (Yes, you sometimes hear the bridge traffic, but it is not intrusive even when you are out on the wonderful screened porch).  We have rented in lots of places over the years, and found the Eboleth House kitchen one of the best and most sensibly equipped.  We had a memorable scallop dinner.  The house was very clean, and it was easy to operate everything.  (We did turn the heat pump up to 65 on one cold summer night).  And while there is a long stretch of grass between the house and the water, it was nice being able to walk down to the shore of the Reach.  (The stairs are very steep).  The porch is a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring.  It gets a nice breeze most of the time and is well shaded, so even hot days are very comfortable."

"First time in Maine and the place and town didn’t disappoint. From the wrap around front porch to the short walk to the beach. The bedding was comfortable and the house was so private and secure.  I will say make sure, which is nothing of the homeowners fault just northern states, to watch for ticks.  The kitchen had everything we needed plus a crockpot which was great for our chili:) thank you and will recommend always."

"My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Eboleth House. We arrived at night to find a very clean and inviting home. And we woke the next morning to find a beautiful piece of property! We enjoyed walking down to the beach, cooking in the (well-equipped) kitchen, playing available board games, and watching movies. There were so many great hikes nearby and we liked that it was close to Acadia. We would definitely stay here again!"

"First of all, if you’re booking you are so lucky to have found this region of Maine! Blue Hill/Deer Isle/Stonington is so special and we are so excited we have discovered this hidden gem of a destination.
Eboleth House is smack dab in the middle of it all, making it easy to come and go. The house is spacious, with a full kitchen, living room full of games, smart tv, and movies you don’t have to leave. We felt at home instantly! The upstairs did get hot without AC, but downstairs was always so comfortable and that’s where you’re spending most of the time! The screened porch and access to the beach were our favorite places to be! Some street noise from the nearby road/bridge was more noticeable during the busier summer weekends but we got used to it and it faded. If you get a clear night, star gazing is a must too! Would recommend!"

"The house is large and easily accommodated 5 adults and one child. It is a short walk to the water, and there is a huge, beautiful screen porch. There are also toys for the kids- who should be kept away from the spiral staircase! We stayed here 2 years ago, and some nice updating has been done."

"The property was a great find, very warm & open for a family. The screened in porch alone was worth the rental. The private beach is small but is a very good place to go fishing (my son loved it). Assuming the water is well-based, so it does have an odor, but that should be expected. (Didn't bother us at all). We used it as a base camp to get to Acadia, and it was all we hoped for. I would highly recommend and would stay here again."

"This property is perfect! We are a family of seven, two grandparents, two parents and three teenage girls. The size of the house and bedrooms were just right for us. Being able to walk to the beach whenever the girls desired was ideal. We took small trips to explore the islands and bought fresh lobster from the fishermen in Stonington. One wish for the property is a gas grill for BBQ, but otherwise, it's perfect! We would love to stay here again!"

"This is a great house! We had a small family gathering and this location & facilities were perfect. There is a small private beach which is great for fishing, and the house was very functional. The best feature of the house is the screened in porch...perfect for sitting out and watching the wildlife...big enough to hold the entire party. (My kids actually slept outside on the porch). Great value for the money, would highly recommend."

"Fantastic screen porch, short walk to the water, large living spaces. Well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer. The washer and dryer is in the 2nd bathroom, I think in place of a 2nd shower, so we needed a shower schedule for 6 adults, but glad to have the washer! Close to our Maine family and friends - I would rent this again!"

"We have enjoyed this house two years in a row. It is spacious, clean, and well appointed. Best features? The screened in porch is wide and wonderful and has rocking chairs and rocking benches, so comfortable. I love the beach for swimming, the water is clean and clear and warmer than the open ocean. A bit of traffic noise didn't bother us."
