Fall Promotions

You'll still find mild temperatures in the fall - not too hot, but also not too cold. There are many easy to moderate trails nearby for those looking for a leisurely hike. 

While many enjoy visiting Maine in the peak of summer, fall is a great time if you want to avoid some of the more mid-summer crowds. Attractions such as Acadia National Park often become a bit less busy this time of year. 

Many favorite restaurants are still open for the season. Stop by in the fall to take advantage of the slower pace and fewer crowds. And yes, you can still get lobster and chowder. 

Fall temperatures begin to cool down a bit, but you can still find highs in the low 70s during the day. Pack a light jacket and a few layers and you'll easily be ready for a comfortable day or night out. 

Retail shops have begun to stay open longer and well into October, art galleries welcome visitors and have special events for the fall season. Also, be sure to take advantage of the end-of-season sales.

Many tours are still operating into the fall and it can be a little easier getting reservations for the exact day that you want. Tours such as whale-watching are very popular and can be much more accessible at the end of the season.
